About the Author

Philip started programming in 1977 on a Commodore PET computer at the very young age of 13. Philip holds a Certificate in Computer Programming for Business from WarrenTech, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master's certificate in the Essentials of Business Development from Regis University. Philip has held Information Technology leadership roles in companies like Sundstrand Aerospace, Safeco Insurance, FamilyLife, Kenworth Truck Company, and PACCAR Inc. Today, Philip serves as the Chief Information Officer for large manufacturing company based in Seattle, Washington. In his spare time, Philip still enjoys writing and publishing computer programming books for students and he serves as the President of Kidware Software. "I really enjoyed this programming book. I found it to be excellent in its explanations, diagrams and programming methodology. Since I retired from mainframe programming several years ago, I have purchased and read many beginning PC programming books including 5 books published by Philip Conrod and found these books extremely well written. In my opinion, Philip Conrod’s books on Microsoft Small Basic and Microsoft Visual Basic have been the best in format, content and the larger size pages for easy reading. They are excellent! To me programming is more than learning a language as it is also about thinking logically and solving problems. I have enjoyed these books so much!â€
What is "Programming Games with Small Basic" and how it works.These lessons are a highly organized and well-indexed set of lessons in the Microsoft Small Basic programming environment. Small Basic is a simplified version of the many BASIC (Basic All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) programming languages of the past.
